Sending Mail

Outbound mail, sent copies, attachments, scheduling, and send failures.

SMTP-backed sending

Epigeon sends using the active mailbox session or selected sender account.

  • Host — SMTP server hostname
  • Port — typically 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Security — SSL/TLS mode from your provider
  • Credentials — username and app password or token

Sent copies and attachments

  • Sent copies save to IMAP sent folders when available
  • Compose supports SMTP attachment delivery
  • Scheduled sends queue until the chosen time

Send failure checklist

  1. Verify SMTP host, port, and SSL/TLS mode
  2. Confirm username matches the mailbox address
  3. Use an app password if the provider requires it
  4. Check provider sending limits and spam blocks
  5. Review DNS (SPF, DKIM) for custom domains
